Getting Ready for 25-26 School Year
Bloom Girls Club 2025 Leadership Retreat: A Time of Growth, Service & Sisterhood
The 2025 Bloom Girls Club Leadership Retreat was a powerful and purposeful three-day journey that brought together Bloom officers and members for a weekend filled with leadership development, self-reflection, community service, and unforgettable bonding moments.
While not every girl who attended holds an official leadership title, every girl was given the space to lead—to set the tone for the new school year, to decide what she wants to let go of, and to name what she’s ready to let in. This was a retreat about growth. About intention. About blooming into the best version of yourself.
Take a look at what our 3 days consisted of:
Day 1: Setting the Foundation & Smashing Limits
The retreat began with leadership workshops that challenged each girl to tap into her voice, her strengths, and her vision. Through small group activities and discussions, we explored how to lead with confidence and compassion—whether in an official role or as a quiet example to others.
Later in the day, we turned inward with reflection and journaling, focusing on what we each need to release—fears, insecurities, distractions—and what we want to invite in—peace, purpose, and confidence.
We ended Day 1 on a high-energy note with a trip to **iSmash**, where the girls physically and symbolically shattered the things holding them back. It was loud, messy, fun, and deeply freeing—a literal break from old energy and the perfect launch into a weekend of transformation.
Day 2: Leading Through Service & Celebrating Sisterhood
Day 2 was about giving back. We started the day with a vision board workshop and a guided mental health session helping the girls explore emotional balance, resilience, and how to take care of themselves while showing up for others. The afternoon was spent volunteering at **Metropolitan Ministries**, where Bloom girls served with open hearts and willing hands. From sorting donations to supporting food services, we worked as a team to make a tangible impact in our community.
To close out the day, we had a fun evening of bowling, where laughter, connection, and healthy competition filled the air. These moments of joy were just as meaningful—reminding us that sisterhood is built through both shared work and play.
Day 3: Visioning, Goal-Setting & Intentional Planning
On our final day, we turned our focus to the future. With the foundation of connection, service, and self-awareness now laid, the girls came together to plan and vision for the upcoming school year. Each voice was valued as we collaborated on goals, events, and ways to strengthen our impact.
The 2025 Bloom Girls Club Leadership Retreat reminded us all that leadership is not a title—it’s a mindset. It’s choosing to lead with kindness, clarity, and courage. It’s about showing up with purpose and growing in community.
As we step into the new school year, we carry forward everything we gained: deeper friendships, clearer goals, and a shared commitment and align it to this new year’s theme: BLOOM TOGETHER 🌸
