25-26 Year Review

The growth of BLOOM Girls Club has been astonishing! Check out what a successful year it was!

  • We were excited to begin the school year with 82 girls signing up to be part of BLOOM, reflecting the
growing desire among students to be connected to a positive, empowering, and supportive community.

  • Our girls proudly served their community through a variety of outreach opportunities, including
participation in the Hope For Her Community Fair, campus clean-up projects, and the Stop the
    Movement 5K.

  • One of the greatest strengths of BLOOM this year was the ongoing one-on-one mentorship provided to
students for personal and academic growth. #AnniesTeaHouseMeetings

  • Our seniors were also equipped for life after graduation through monthly workshops with a community
professional specializing in college admissions and scholarship applications. These sessions provided
valuable guidance, encouragement, and preparation for their next chapter.

  • Academic excellence continued to be celebrated throughout the year. At every academic celebration, up
to 45 girls attended after earning Honor Roll or Deans List—an incredible reflection of the dedication,
resilience, and hard work displayed by our students.

  • Community remained at the heart of BLOOM through our monthly socials, where girls gathered to build
friendships, network, and simply enjoy time together. From karaoke nights to holiday “yap sessions,”
these events created joyful spaces for connection, laughter, and belonging.

  • This year also marked the launch of BLOOM Bash, a student-led event created to help incoming 8th
grade girls successfully transition into high school. Through mentorship, encouragement, games, and
open conversations, current BLOOM students created a welcoming environment that helped younger
girls feel supported, confident, and excited about the future.

  • BLOOM alumni have stepped into new chapters of life, including starting full-time careers, graduating
from cosmetology school, and beginning families as mothers—reflecting the long-term impact within
    the program.

  • Students also benefited from impactful guest speakers who poured into the girls by speaking on
important topics such as setting healthy boundaries, protecting mental health, building
confidence, and navigating life challenges. In addition, BLOOM hosted an inspiring women’s panel
during club days, where accomplished women from the community shared their stories, wisdom,
and encouragement with students, empowering them to dream bigger and believe in their
    potential.

  • The 2nd Annual Girls Conference impacted 100 students. Students received free swag bags, hair
care products, and resources designed to help them feel confident and cared for. The event
featured a panel of women entrepreneurs who shared their journeys, challenges, and successes
to encourage girls to dream bigger and pursue their goals. Students also participated in breakout
sessions centered on “taking up your crown” and walking confidently in who they are, focusing on
identity, self-worth, leadership, confidence, and personal growth.

  • In addition, five student entrepreneurs—Jenny, Shayla S., Anastasia, Dalia, and Edith—were able
to promote and sell their own products during the event.

  • Twelve students had the opportunity to attend the SEU College Tour Trip, where they explored
campus life and participated in an inspiring conference in Orlando that encouraged personal
    growth.

  • BLOOM Girls participated in multiple field trips this year: A Tea Party Event, A Florida Aquarium
featuring the unforgettable experience of dissecting a squid, and painting at Al Lopez Park.

  • And of course, we can’t forget the BLOOM Tea Room—a special space that became a second
home for many of our girls. Whether heating up lunch, studying in a calm environment, taking a
mental break, completing schoolwork, or simply spending time together, the Tea Room became
a place where meaningful memories and lasting friendships were formed.
